Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Experimental AMO/Nuclear Physics


The Fundamental Interactions Group at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem is seeking to fill a postdoctoral position
in experimental nuclear physics/AMO physics. The group is developing atom and ion traps for radioactive nuclei designed
to test the decay properties in order to search for Beyond Standard Model signals. The group is funded by several national
and international grants, including a recent European Research Council (ERC) grant.

The successful candidate will play an active role in the trapping program run by the group, and will be expected to oversee
several graduate students.

A PhD in experimental nuclear physics or AMO physics. The candidate must have a strong background in optics and/or ion
optics, and various detector technologies, simulation and data analysis. Experience with vacuum and Cryogenic system is desirable.
