Faculty position in Theoretical
Cosmology and Relativistic Gravity
As a member of the Screening Committee
of the Racah Institute of Physics at the Hebrew University
of Jerusalem, I invite applications for a tenure-track
faculty position in Physics in the field of Theoretical
Cosmology and Relativistic Gravity.
We seek an excellent researcher working on theories of cosmological evolution and cosmological composition preferably with connections to observation, General Relativity and High Energy Physics. Candidates should have a Ph.D degree and a postdoctoral research experience. They would be compared against all physics candidates, not only within the specified field. Successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, to lead an active research group involving M.Sc and Ph.D students and to raise external funding for their research. Note that teaching at the Hebrew University is primarily in Hebrew, but there is a growing number of courses which are taught in English. While in recent years, we have hired several excellent researchers who are not fluent in Hebrew, successful candidates will be expected to be able to teach in Hebrew within a couple of years. For instructions on how to apply for faculty positions at the Racah Institute, see https://phys.huji.ac.il/faculty-positions. The application deadline for the current year is September 27, 2021 (letters of recommendation: October 5, 2021). For academic inquiries please contact Prof. Barak Kol at barak.kol@mail.huji.ac.il. |
